Review of '4:50 from Paddington (Miss Marple #8)' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
Right before Christmas, a friend of Miss Marple's sees a man strangling a woman on a train passing by. She does not see his face but is completely sure she witnessed a murder. Since the police did not find a body, she thinks it is best to leave it in the capable hands of her friend. Miss Marple studies the train's tracks and enlists the help of Lucy Eylesbarrow. The two clever ladies will have to solve the mystery and find the body.
I enjoyed this story very much. We know a woman was murdered by a man from the start, but the whole plot is very intricate and then suddenly very simple. Christie's stories are always engaging and surprising, as they should be.
