Review of 'A Pocket Full of Rye (Miss Marple Mysteries)' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

A business man called Rex Fortescue is poisoned to death and it is found that he had rye in his pocket. Gladys, the maid of the house, once worked for Miss Marple, which spikes her curiosity and makes her travel there to help with the investigation. After rye and bread and honey are brought into the crime scene, Marple suggests that the detective should enquire about blackbirds.

Even though the mystery is easier to solve than usual, it is very interesting that Christie was able to build a solid crime around a childhood nursery rhyme. Very entertaining, as always.
