Stephanie Plum resigns her job as a bounty hunter, she is looking for something safe and normal. But Stephanie finds out that trouble follows her and a maniac from the past is stalking her, with the sole purpose of putting her into a burial plot of her own. Stephanie is caught between staying alive and staying away from the bounty hunter business, and re-examines her decision to quit the bounty hunter job. There is a possibility that it could be a solution to the immediate problem. Stephanie takes a position in an office, working for a bounty hunter and it gives her the technical access she needs to find her stalker.

Stephanie Plum has rolled in the trash for the last time, she no longer wants to be a bounty hunter. Lula takes her place and Stephanie applies for a job at the button factory. But is her job the problem or is it fate? It seems to be written in the stars for Stephanie that explosions and death threats will follow her no matter what. Not to mention the ultimate family disaster: Valerie's incoming wedding.

Even though there is a mystery for Stephanie to solve, this story is slightly different from previous ones as Stephanie is actively trying to avoid trouble. It seems Morelli likes the new Stephanie better, but things always get better when Ranger comes into the picture. I enjoyed this story, I loved the explosions (and the mole in particular) and it took me some time to figure out what was going on. Another good book to …
