Stolen Focus

Audiobook. Covers much that I already knew from “the social dilemma” (documentary) and “down the rabbit hole” (NYT podcast).
Powerful first half.
I felt unsure about the second half and reading some reviews here from folk with ADHD I wonder if he simplified too much there.
Enjoyed his voice and pacing, agree with many of his points.
Leaves us with very much of a “what do we do now”? problem though.

Livro muito bom. Explica como a crise das nossas atenções não é um problema individual e sim estrutural, com raízes no capitalismo e os grandes efeitos negativos dessa crise. Mostra como as big tech são enormemente responsáveis por isso e o que podemos fazer para reverter a situação, tanto no nível pessoal quanto no nível de grandes lutas. A escrita é ótima, sendo interessante nas explicações científicas e divertida na experiência pessoal do autor. Enfim, recomendo para todo mundo ler esse livro.
