Review of 'A Monster Calls' on 'Goodreads'

First, good timing (or bad timing I don't know exactly). This book came in a moment of my life that I'm experiencing almost the same that Connor, the protagonist. I thought that would make me more sensible about the story but actually it didn't.
It doesn't mean that I didn't like it, I liked. It's a very good book, with a very good writing what it's expect from Patrick Ness but in the end I felt like something was missing. There weren't no tears, no lump in the throat...
I'm not disapointed at all but didn't felt what I was expecting (and so many people felt).
Connor is good character, we feel his pain and understand your behavior and the end which is rare in books with this topic because the protagonists tend to be extremely annoying. The Monster is captivating too and give us SO many lessons without intend …
