Nikki lives alone and works at a pub. Even though she descends from a Sikh traditional family, she wants to prove her worth on her own. Thanks to a misunderstanding, she accepts to teach a creative writing class at the heart of her community in London. The women she teaches do not know how to write in English, but they do have a great imagination!

This book was surprisingly comical. I read a sample and I decided to buy it because it made me giggle straight away. I enjoyed it a lot, specially the comic bits from the windows' meetings, but I wanted a bit more of the crime stories. I think more suspense and a twist would have worked nicely too. It was a very entertaining reading, I look forward to read more from this author.
