Really enjoyed the energy of this volume: fun, quirky and confident! None of the characters are exactly what you're expecting and the shenaningans never end. But somehow Soule keeps everything under control and moving forward. Never bringing in more randomness then he or Jennifer can handle, everything building up on what came before with lots of hints as to what might be waiting in the future. I could hardly put this one down.
The art for the volume was a little more random, to put it lightly, and not exactly what people are expecting these days (I don't think anyway). The covers on the other hand were more of a mixed bag. Some were certainly nice enough, but many many of them were much much more sexual in nature. Not the worst I've seen, but I could see more then one person feeling cheated considering the disconnect between the inside and outside of each issue. I also just don't like the digital style where shading is done with gradients rather then with lines, but that's more personal then anything else.
