Veronica is back and better than ever because... Logan is also back! We learn a little bit more about their relationship and about Logan while Veronica is investigating who abused a woman and left her for dead. The case is complicated, but the whole gang is back to help her solve it.

I enjoyed this book so much more than the previous one! First, there is Logan. And then there is Logan. And also Veronica's case is intricate and mysterious. It has great pace and the rest of the story following the characters' lives unravels beautifully in parallel with the case. It leaves a lot of untied ends that will leave you hoping things do not turn out for worse in Neptune because so much was ominously left open. For all marshmallows at there, this book worth it!
