My favourite genre is fantasy but I also love comedy, which means I am a big fan of Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman and CK McDonnell. Truth is, I'll read anything!

Lynsay Sands, Jeaniene Frost: The Bite Before Christmas (Argeneau Vampire) (2011, William Morrow)

Review of 'The Bite Before Christmas (Argeneau Vampire)' on 'Goodreads'

I kind of bumped into this book. I had no idea they were two short stories from two different series. I read it because it was close to Christmas and I felt it made sense. Even though the first wasn't as appealing, the second story by Jeaniene Frost is the one that gets the 4 stars and introduced me to the Night Huntress series, more specifically, to Cat and Bones. It's not smart to start from the end, but well, at least it pointed me to the series! Two nice winter stories involving vampires, and a great adventure at the hands of Cat and Ian.

It's definitely a classic in the making, I'm sure I'll be pushing this book on anyone who enjoys a good laugh. Well written, witty and such a lovely fairy tale based on a very strange premiss. The aunts are hilarious and the money made from the book reverts to good causes, what is there not to like? Buy it, you won't regret it!

An intelligent dog that breaks away from an experiment facility, a broken man and an abused woman come together for an adventure that will breathe new life into each of them.

I read this book a long time ago and it stayed with me, but it took me forever to find it again. I was so happy to discover its original title and I think I can say it is worth reading if you enjoy science fiction tangled with romance and a little of suspense, but specially if you like dogs. I read this book 15 years ago and never forgot about it.
