Review of 'Through the Language Glass: Why the World Looks Different in Other Languages' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
I had very high expectations for this book, as it was recommended to me by many different people. Those high expectations probably cost it a star in my review, my bad. The book in fact surpased my expectations on many points: how well researched it is, how extensive and detailed it is. But I guess I expected more cases of how language may limit our sense of reality, and color really steals the show here. Despite the density of information this is a very enjoyable read that will challenge many of your beliefs.
