Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a fantasy novel written by British author J. K. Rowling and the seventh and final novel of the main Harry Potter series. It was released on 21 July 2007 in the United Kingdom by Bloomsbury Publishing, in the United States by Scholastic, and in Canada by Raincoast Books. The novel chronicles the events directly following Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005) and the final confrontation between the wizards Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. Il migliore dei libri proprio perché non segue la struttura dei precedenti. 5 stelle
Qualche meno red flags qui.

Mi ero ripromessa di non aprire mai e poi mai questi libri. Troppo sopravvalutato e a che perché non mi piacciono le cose mainstream. Quest'estate, però, si è fatta strada in me la voglia di costatare con i miei stessi occhi tutte le red flag distribuite nella saga, tenendo conto che all'epoca non c'era tutta questa attenzione a certe tematiche.
Alcune redflags: tutti i personaggi grassi sono cattivi o stupidissimi; i folletti della Gringott mi ricordano Shylock, sapete dove voglio andare a parare; il fatto che Silente non accettasse la nuova identità di Voldy, mi fa pensare che lei proprio non accetti che qualcuno possa identificarsi diversamente dalla norma.
Sarà il mio essere atea, ma non capisco perché debbano festeggiare feste cristiane. Che poi ognuna di queste ha il suo corrispettivo …

In the previous book Harry is taught by Dumbledore and learns what he must do to finally kill Voldemort. He accepts the task Dumbledore gives him, and together with Ron and Hermione searches for the remaining horcruxes to destroy/kill them.

Even though this was the last book in the series, it was the one I remembered the least. For most of it, it curiously felt like I was reading it for the first time. It springs into action right in the first pages, there is a great airborne battle before the wedding. But then it slows down so much I had to switch to the audiobook version (read by Stephen Fry) so I could listen while doing other stuff and feel less bored by it. Harry redeems himself in the end, but for most of it he is dim-witted. Fortunately the book picks it pace again towards the end, and …
