Prudence Shen: Secret wars (2016)
Secret wars by Prudence Shen (Secret wars)
"Is Lady Kate of 1602 the norotious Hawkeye Bandit? Can enslaved mutants overthrow Khonshu? Kraven hunts, Matt Murdock cooks, Wolverine …
My favourite genre is fantasy but I also love comedy, which means I am a big fan of Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman and CK McDonnell. Truth is, I'll read anything!

Another good one from the battleworld. Queen Medusa is serving Doom and helping keeping order of His domain. All is well until she captures a prisoner that makes her doubt her faith. This series was pretty cool, but the end was a blast! I did not see it coming.
Old Man Logan battles mutants, genocidal machines and hordes of the undead.
Besides volume #4, I loved all these so much they deserve 5 stars. I've read it more than once and I don't know if it was because I liked the plot or because I'm so in love with the artwork. This is truly a masterpiece! The way pages are drawn, the symmetries, the blood sprays, the shadows... absolutely stunning!
Al Ewing: Captain America and the Mighty Avengers (2015)

The story of the Mighty Avengers' last day.
Not for the first time, the Red Skull is presumed dead--but as his legend grows, …
Doom sent red skull over the wall but there have been tales of him being alive. Doom promised freedom to anyone bringing Red Skull' head, which includes Magneto.
"OK, so they're not 'together' together: This isn't the Kitty that Peter Quill fell in …
I did not expect this to start with a "Little Mermaid" song, nor to find the artwork so similar to Disney's. I smiled reading all three volumes, and sometimes you just need something cozy on a rainy day that isn't Doom and the worst of the Universe that is left.
Dan Abnett: Korvac saga (2015)
"Stranded on 21st century Earth, the 31st century Guardians finally have a chance to locate …
Probably my favourite from the Secret Wars side stories. Korvac made a deal with Doom to rule over his dominion, but there's a madness spreading. Some people remember there used to be stars in the sky before becoming huge monsters. This madness needs to be contained but its origin is a mystery.
This was a bit of a mess, the ultron army and zombies mashed up to invade a sanctuary where heroes live happy with their families or soon to be families. Nice start but what a confusing thing this was.
Knowhere is a satellite that consists of remains of an alien they tried to attack Battleworld. Gamora is being questioned by the Thors because she keeps moving to other dominions and that is forbidden by Doom. But she is searching for bigger answers to questions that put their whole world in check.
Ian is running from a demon called Dagon that has a claim on his soul. On the other hand, Veritas is interested in finding Dagon, which means she can use Ian to hunt the demon down. And it is not like Ian has anything left to lose.
This book was so much better than I anticipated! I am so happy Ian's character is as entertaining in Cat's books as in this one (Vlad was not as funny, unfortunately). I was not expecting a lot of different new characters and magic capabilities, neither that Veritas was such a fun drunk. This was very entertaining and since I cannot ask any more, it deserves 5 stars. But beware: Ian's adventures do not end with this book. It does not end in a cliffhanger but it does not end here.
